What We Treat.
How We Help.

Four integrated therapies. One clinic. Over 40 years of results for Long Beach patients who want to move better and feel like themselves again.

Care that goes beyond the adjustment

Most patients come to us with one complaint — a bad back, a stiff neck, a shoulder that won't cooperate. What they discover is that the body responds better when you address it from more than one angle. That's why we offer chiropractic, massage, acupuncture, and assisted stretching under one roof, and why Dr. Tropeano has been combining these approaches since 1984.

Chiropractic Care

Spinal adjustments that address the source of your pain

Chiropractic care works by restoring proper alignment to the spine and joints — removing the nerve interference that causes pain, muscle tension, headaches, and reduced mobility. It's not about cracking backs. It's about giving your nervous system a clear path to do what it already knows how to do.

Dr. Tropeano sees patients dealing with lower back pain, neck pain, sciatica, sports injuries, auto accident recovery, and chronic stiffness that other treatments haven't resolved. Chiropractic is often the missing piece — particularly for patients who've been managing symptoms without getting to the underlying mechanical cause.

Your first visit includes a thorough evaluation: posture assessment, range of motion testing, and a conversation about your history and goals. Adjustments are precise, controlled, and calibrated to your body. Most patients notice a difference after the first few sessions — and many have been coming back for decades.

Massage Therapy

Therapeutic massage that works alongside your treatment plan

The massage we offer isn't spa massage. It's therapeutic — designed to release the muscular tension that holds your body in compensatory patterns, restricts joint movement, and keeps pain from fully resolving. When muscle spasm is part of your problem, no adjustment alone will hold it.

Our licensed massage therapists work with patients recovering from injuries, managing chronic tension, or preparing their soft tissue for a chiropractic adjustment. Common presentations include tight hamstrings and hip flexors contributing to low back pain, thoracic tension feeding into neck problems, and general full-body tension from stress or physical labor.

Sessions are customized to what your body needs that day. Expect focused, intentional work — not a routine. The goal is always to support your recovery and make the rest of your care more effective and longer-lasting.

Acupuncture

Ancient practice. Measurable results in modern clinical care.

Acupuncture uses fine, sterile needles inserted at specific points on the body to influence the nervous system, reduce inflammation, and prompt the body's own pain-relief and healing responses. The sensation is far less than patients expect — most describe a mild pressure or warmth, and many fall asleep on the table.

At Village Health Center, acupuncture is used alongside chiropractic and massage for patients with stubborn pain that hasn't responded to other approaches: chronic headaches and migraines, persistent sciatic pain, neck tension, joint inflammation, and stress-related physical symptoms. It's also effective as a standalone treatment for patients who prefer a non-manipulative approach.

Your first acupuncture session includes a detailed intake to understand your full health picture. Needles are placed and you rest for 20–30 minutes while the treatment takes effect. Sessions are calm and restorative. Many patients leave feeling more relaxed than they have in months.

Assisted Stretching

Restore the range of motion your body has been missing

Most people stretch the same muscles the same way — and still feel tight. Assisted stretching takes a different approach. A trained practitioner moves your body through targeted ranges of motion, working with your muscle receptors to release tension that you simply cannot access on your own. The results go deeper and last longer than solo stretching.

We use assisted stretching most often with patients recovering from injury or surgery, athletes managing recurring tightness, and sedentary patients whose hip flexors, hamstrings, and thoracic spine have shortened from hours of sitting. It's also a valuable complement to chiropractic — keeping the muscles that surround newly adjusted joints loose and supportive.

Sessions are performed fully clothed on a padded table. Your practitioner guides each movement, communicating throughout so the work stays comfortable and effective. Patients often describe an immediate sense of openness and ease after their first session. Over time, improved flexibility directly supports the gains made through the rest of your care.
